hi, I'm Susanne. my interest in gardening was inspired by my mother's love for her own garden, but it wasn't until I moved to the outskirts of berlin in 2000 that I found that passion in myself.

for four years, I nurtured my own organic garden and, after moving to cornwall in the spring of 2004, I expanded my horizions by taking on my first allotment.

in 2005, I took a RHS level 2 certificate in horticulture at the royal horticultural college in camborne and, on finishing the course, was recruited by the head of the nurseries there, where I have been working until today.

the blue carrot market garden is an accumulation of my gardening knowledge and my passion for growing and I hope that this will go some way to help the increasing need for locally produced and naturally-grown products.
